Description

The embroiderers of Lomerio are based 450 km north-east of Santa Cruz, in the heart of the Chiquitania province. They are around 100 women who are spread out across 10 different communities.

For the artisans of Lomerío embroidery is part of their culture. Through artisanal work they have managed to organize and recognize themselves as women capable of leading their communities. They weave decorative elements that represent local fauna and flora.
