Description

The Sumbi-Regua weavers are the indigenous Guaraní people, who live in the Cordillera province of the department of Santa Cruz. They weave cotton using special techniques, one of which uses two colours symbolising day and night.

Spirituality plays an important role in this weaving tradition and Sumbi weavers say that they often base their design on their dreams.
